Hendersonville Man Charged With 2 Counts of First-degree Murder

On August 29, 2022, at approximately 3:30 pm, the Hendersonville Police Department received a call of shots fired in the 100 block of Cavalier Drive.

Hendersonville Police arrived on the scene and observed two individuals with gunshot wounds in the front yard of a residence. The two individuals were identified as Laura Undis (60) and Virginia Deirdre Sheen (67). When officers arrived on the scene, good Samaritans had already detained Lloyd T. Martin Jr. (72).

The two victims were transported to the Hendersonville Medical Center, and both succumbed to their injuries.

A preliminary investigation revealed a failed relationship between Ms. Undis and Mr. Martin. An argument ensued on August 29, 2022, which carried out into the front yard of the residence.

A neighbor, Mrs. Sheen, attempted to intervene between Ms. Undis and Mr. Martin when Mr. Martin produced a pistol and began shooting, resulting in the death of Ms. Undis and Sheen. Hendersonville Police Officers took Mr. Martin into custody.

Lloyd T. Martin Jr. will be charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of aggravated assault.

This is still an active investigation.
