Gallatin Police has received information that someone is calling, pretending to be with SCSO.
The caller convinced the victim to send $25,000 from Bitcoin machine to get her brother out of jail.
Another victim received a phone call from someone pretending to be the FBI. They convinced her to provide her bank account information and then stole her money.
As a reminder, law enforcement agencies will not call and ask for money. Please do not provide any type of currency over the phone.
