A fourth suspect in a fatal shooting in Hendersonville was arrested on February 15, 2023, according to WSMV.
The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Woodrow Sales Jr, now faces first-degree murder and evading arrest.

On February 8, 2023, at approximately 1:22pm the Hendersonville Police Department received a call of shots fired in the 100 block of Cole Ct.
Hendersonville Police Officers arrived on the scene and observed one individual with gunshot wounds in the front yard of a residence.
The victim, Mark McCord Jr. (21), was transported to the Hendersonville Medical Center and later succumbed to his injuries.
Three suspects fled the scene on foot and got into a vehicle with a getaway driver waiting several blocks from the crime scene. Hendersonville Police Department and 18th Judicial Drug Task Force Officers pursued the suspect vehicle.
The pursuit traveled into Metro Nashville before the vehicle stopped, and two suspects inside the vehicle fled on foot. Three suspects have been captured, and one is still outstanding.
Three suspects have been arrested and are facing the following charges:
- Quentin Taylor (21) – 1st Degree Murder and Evading Arrest
- Dominic Smith (20) – 1st Degree Murder and Evading Arrest
- Indyja Mitchell (26) – Evading by Motor Vehicle, No Driver’s License, Speeding, Traffic Control Device, and Stop Sign.
This is still an active investigation.
