Thousands of residents across the region remain without electricity following the weekend winter storm, as Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation crews continue round-the-clock restoration efforts.

As of Monday morning, approximately 22,000 customers were still without power, with widespread damage reported throughout the service area. More than 500 crew members, including additional contract lineworkers, are working to repair downed lines, broken poles, and other storm-related damage. The hardest-hit areas include Robertson and Sumner counties, where restoration could take several days due to the severity of impacts.

Officials said crews are prioritizing major transmission and distribution lines before moving into neighborhoods and individual homes.

In response, the City of White House has opened the Billy S. Hobbs Municipal Building at 105D College Street as an Emergency Warming Center for residents in need. Those planning to visit are asked to dress warmly and bring their own blankets, food, and water. Alcohol, smoking, and pets are not allowed, and a White House Police officer will remain onsite. Transportation is not available.

Residents can check the outage map at cemc.org/outagemap or report outages by calling 800-987-2362 or through the SmartHub app. For assistance related to the warming center, residents can contact the White House Police Department non-emergency line at 615-672-4903.

As crews continue restoration work, residents are encouraged to stay informed and take extra care during ongoing winter conditions.
