VFW Post 9851 will host its 16th Annual Golf Scramble on Friday, September 25, at Country Hills Golf Course, 1501 Saundersville Rd. in Hendersonville. Click for More Events
Registration and a putting contest begin at 11 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The entry fee is $125 per golfer or $500 per team, which covers cart, greens fees, mulligans, putting contest entry, food and prizes.
Teams will be flighted, with awards given to the first- and second-place finishers in each flight. Prizes will also be awarded for the putting contest, longest drive and hole-in-one contest. The golfer who lands a hole-in-one will win $25,000.
Tournament proceeds benefit VFW Post 9851 and its outreach programs supporting veterans and the local community, reflecting the post’s motto: honor the dead by serving the living.
