Everyone is a storyteller — but not everyone tells a story well.
The good news? You can learn.
The Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center is hosting a three-session Storytelling Workshop with Gwen Caldwell April 11 – April 25. Gwen has been sharing her love of well-told stories for over 30 years.
Storytelling is one of the oldest and most powerful art forms in human history — and in this workshop, you’ll learn how to step into that tradition with confidence and skill.
During this class, you’ll learn:
• How and where to find stories worth telling
• Techniques to truly learn a story (not just memorize it)
• How to bring a story to life
• How to polish a story for performance
• The difference between writing, reading, and telling a story
• Tools to connect authentically with your audience
• How to use your voice as an instrument
• Strategies to overcome performance anxiety
Each session includes time to hear stories, practice telling your own, and receive supportive, encouraging feedback as you grow.
