Wayne Edward Lamborn, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

Wayne was born on May 30, 1950, in Oakland, California to William and Julia (Proctor) Lamborn.

Wayne loved “puttering” around the house and helping at his church. Wayne was very proud that his family was one of the founding families of Our Lady of Lake Catholic Church. He would always offer his help on different projects for the church.

Upon returning from military service, he joined his brother Gary in the church folk group at our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, where he played the drums. Wayne also had a small recording studio at their home for several years.

Wayne followed in the footsteps of his father, becoming an electrician, with his entire career in that field of expertise. Wayne was an avid photographer and could be seen with a camera everywhere he went. On January 5, 1985, Wayne married the love of his life Mary Sternhagen.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents William and Julia.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Mary; daughter Nicole Lamborn; son Andrew Lamborn; brother Gary (Elizabeth) Lamborn; nephew Brody (Ashley) Luna; niece Celia (Joseph) Jenkins along with numerous extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 5 pm-7 pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited beginning at 7 pm.
