Thomas Franklin Jones, age 79 of Gallatin, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, January 18th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 18th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Jones was born October 6, 1942 in Trousdale County to the late Thomas Jones and Eliza Crook Jones.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, J. C. Jones; and sisters, Agnes Gregory, and Willie Mae Williams.
He is survived by wife of 60 years, Margie Anderson Jones of Gallatin; sons, Phil Tracy Jones (Missy) of Bethpage and Paul Thomas Jones (Kim) of Gallatin; 6 grandchildren, Jessica Stanfill (Hank), Heather Case (Tyler), Phillip Jones (Amanda), Patrick Jones (Bethany), Conner Jones, and Kenley Jones; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Jones was a life-long member of Grace Baptist Church in Bethpage. He retired from Eaton Corporation after 35 years of service. After retirement, he worked for the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the Sumner County Highway Department, and for Gallatin Backhoe Service.
