Mr. Ricky Joe Sweatt, age 69 of Portland, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at his residence.
Ricky was born on January 16, 1955 in Indianapolis, Indiana to William Roscoe and Dorothy Marlin Sweatt.
Ricky was preceded in death by his son, Joe David Sweatt; father, Roscoe Sweatt and brother, Donald Glen Sweatt.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia Craig Sweatt; daughters, Jennifer (William) Graves, Laura (Kenny) Mooneyhan, and Kelly Sweatt; grandchildren, Kenneth Mooneyhan (Montana White), Aaron Graves, Dawson Mooneyhan, Kailey (Bryson) Russell, Isaac Key, and Kelton Calvert; great-grandchild, Camden Gregory; mother, Dorothy Sweatt; sister, Janice Atkinson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 26th at 12:00 PM from the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland with Bro. Gary Riley officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mitchellville General Baptist Church Cemetery with Aaron Graves, Dawson Mooneyhan, Lucas Wink, Bryson Russell, James Craig and Ronnie Craig serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, January 25th from 4:00-8:00 PM and Friday, January 26th from 10:00 AM until service time at 12:00 PM.
