Ms. Patricia “Patsy” Lou Carter age 79, of Portland, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday October 16, 2025 at Tris Star Hendersonville Medical Center in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Patsy was born on April 3, 1946 in Portland, Tennessee to the late Floyd and Anna Lou Lamberth.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Carter; and her daughter, Kimberly Carter Brecht.

Ms. Patsy is survived by her daughter, Michelle Carter; grandchildren, Daniel Calvert, Amanda Wade, Alicia Perry and Zachary (Kirsti West) Brecht; great grandchildren, Keldyn, Kynzlee, Alexis, Joshua, Brooklyn, Isabella T., Derek, Bentley, Waylon, Karma, Kyrie, Kameron, David, Adriona, and Isabella W; and her sister, Janette (Glen) Elliott.

Ms. Patsy loved Jesus and was dedicated to watching Portland First Baptist Church Services on Facebook when she was no longer able to attend services. She enjoyed watching Price is Right, Family Feud and Wheel of Fortune. But most of all she loved her family and her grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services for Ms. Patsy Lou Carter will be held on Tuesday, October 21st at 12:00 PM from the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland. Interment will follow the service at Restlawn Memory Gardens with Zach Brecht, Todd Patterson, Ricky Patterson, Lucas Parades, Timmy Elliott and Wesley Kemp serving as pallbearers. Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Monday, October 20th from 5:00-8:00 PM and Tuesday, October 21st from 10:00 AM until service time at 12:00 PM.
