Michael J. Holingbaugh, age 79, left this earth to be with his Lord on June 19, 2024.
He was born in Dover, Ohio to Harold L. and Betty J. Holingbaugh on January 4, 1945.
Mike was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He enjoyed farming, fishing and hunting and playing frisbee with his dog, Levi. His greatest joy were his five great-grandchildren.
He was an ordained deacon and member of Scottsville Baptist Church in Scottsville, KY. His passion was missions and he made many mission trips both in the states and abroad.
Michael is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Sherry L. (Grossenbacher) Holingbaugh, daughters, Melanie (Jim Herstine) Holingbaugh, Heather (Jay) Wysong, three grandchildren, Amber (Keith) Scoggins, Kati (Tyler) Ayers and Michael Morgan, five great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Joshua, Henry, Anastasia and Amelia. He is also survived by his sisters Karen (Jerry) Limbacher, Pamela (Doug) Bercaw and brother Theodore (Terry) Welsch.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Peter S. Welsch.
