Margaret Irene (Brown) Trammel, 85 of Portland, Tn, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

Mrs. Trammel was born February 10, 1940 to Herlan Brown and Annie Lucy (Wright) Brown in the Rock Bridge community outside of Portland, Tn.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Trammel was preceded in death by her husband, Harlon; brother, John Edward Brown; great grandson, Jaxon Trammel and nephew Buddy Withers.

Mrs. Trammel married Harlon Trammel on June 10, 1960, they were blessed with three sons, Mark (Donna) Trammel, Sheldon (Lisa) Trammel and Craig (Phyllis) Trammel; they have four grandchildren, Zachary (Amanda) Trammel, Erica Trammel, Ben (Brittany) Trammel, and Brooke (Will) Rillo; two step grandchildren, Daniel (Brooke) Vanatta and Brittany (Jacob) Russell; five great grandchildren, Mallie Grizzle, Maykon Trammel, Harper Trammel, Hunter Trammel and Eloise Rillo; four step great grandchildren, Ethan, Kendall and Knixon Vanatta and Hadean Graham; sister, Wanda Withers; two sister in laws, Janice Brown and Deborah Boocher along with several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly and have brought much joy to her life.

Mrs. Trammel was saved at Rock Bridge Missionary Baptist Church in 1952, and she said it was a great blessing to have the Lord’s sweet holy spirit with her all of her years. She had some good friends in her lifetime and good church family, she was so blessed.

There will be a funeral service for Mrs. Trammel on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 12 noon at Wilkinson Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Withers and Lee Brown officiating, with visitation on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 12 noon at Wilkinson Wiseman Funeral Home.

Following the funeral service, interment will be in Portland Memorial Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Zachary Trammel, Timmy Trammel, Ben Trammel, Daniel Vanatta, Robby Riley and Jason Riley with Maykon Trammel, Knixon Vanatta, Hunter Trammel, Harper Trammel, Erica Trammel, Mallie Grizzle, Eloise Rillo, Ethan Vanatta and Kendall Vanatta serving as honorary pallbearers.
