Mae Douglas Groves, age 82, of Portland, Tennessee passed away on October 24th, 2023 at her residence.
She was born in Portland, TN on December 18th, 1940 to the late Thomas Thurman Traughber and the late Elizabeth Jane Armstrong Traughber.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Groves was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Wilkinson.
Mrs. Groves is survived by her husband, Leonard Groves; son, Glenn (Carolyn) Cook of Portland; daughter, Emily (Rick) Wildbur of Alvaton, KY; grandchildren, Cole Cook, Jacki Dant, Megan Klotter, & Rachel Klotter.
Funeral service for Mrs. Groves will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 28th, 2023 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Pardue & Larry Hinton officiating.
Visitation for Mrs. Groves will be on Friday, October 27th, 2023from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm & on Saturday, October 28th, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home. https://www.wilkinsonwiseman.com
Interment will be at Mitchellville General Baptist Church Cemetery.
Rick Wildbur, Brian Martin, Maverick Martin, Mark Groves, Rob Lesemann, & Larry Hinton will serve as pallbearers.
