Leroy Scruggs, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Rosemary Cottage, Hendersonville, Tennessee.
The Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, with Alec Cort officiating.
The Family will be receiving friends and family on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until service time. The burial will be held at a later date. Leroy retired from Peterbilt Motors in Madison.
His pleasures after retirement was restoring antique cars and trucks, boating and auto races.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Chris; Parents, G.V. Scruggs and Rosie (Key) Scruggs; Brother, Henry Scruggs, and sister, Ruth Browner. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty; Sister, Rose Woodard; Nephews, “Woody” Woodard, Mike Woodard, and Freeman Woodard; Niece, Sandra Jones. In Lieu of Flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Birdwell’s Chapel Church of Christ Youth Group, 3170 TN-25, Cottontown, Tennessee 37048.
