In passing, she has returned to the peace she so often brought to others, but her influence remains.
Mrs. Katie Pearl (Carr) Brandon, born on November 9, 1934, in the heart of Trousdale, Tennessee, passed from this world on July 14, 2026, in Alpharetta, Georgia. Her journey, marked by grace, wisdom, and unwavering strength, leaves a luminous legacy that will long be cherished by all who were privileged to know her.
Katie’s life story began amid the rolling hills and enduring spirit of her Tennessee home. From the earliest days, she was known for her warmth—a beacon of compassion, quiet generosity, and gentle leadership. Her character was shaped by the values instilled in her by both family and community, and those same values became the foundation of a life beautifully lived.
Throughout her ninety-one years, Katie embodied steadfast love and resilience. She navigated life’s seasons with dignity, embracing each stage and challenge with an open heart and deep faith. Whether in moments of great joy or periods of sorrow, Katie’s presence was always a steadying influence, offering counsel when it was needed, and a listening ear when words could offer little comfort.
In every chapter, Katie wove bonds of kinship and friendship that endured the tests of time. Though the details of her professional and artistic pursuits are settled quietly in the hearts of those who remember her, the imprint she left is indelible. Her hospitality opened doors to neighbors and strangers alike, turning gatherings into treasured memories, laughter into music, and home into sanctuary.
The echoes of her life remain: in every life she touched, in each story remembered, and in the love that continues to flourish.
Katie’s final days were as they had always been—marked by grace and surrounded by love. In passing, she has returned to the peace she so often brought to others, but her influence remains. She is remembered for the wisdom passed down through generations, for her kindness, and for the resilience that shaped her every endeavor.
To honor Katie Pearl Brandon’s remarkable life, family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation with Family on July 25, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a Home Going Celebration at 1:00 p.m., both at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 530 E. Main St., Hartsville, TN 37074. Interment will follow at Hager Cemetery, Cemetery Road & Herod Lane, Hartsville, Tennessee, at 2:30 p.m.
Though now she rests, the echoes of her life remain: in every life she touched, in each story remembered, and in the love that continues to flourish within the hearts of those she leaves behind. As we mourn her passing, we also give thanks for the privilege of having known such a remarkable woman.
