Kathy Beth Basham, 55, of Hendersonville, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021.
She is preceded in death by her father, Louis G. Basham Sr., grandparents, Raymond and Elizabeth Gentry, William Bryant and Pearl Gentry, brother-in-law, Charles Porter, and special uncles, JB, Larry, JR, Donald, and Ray.
Kathy is survived by her mother, Dorothy Basham, brother, Louis G. Basham Jr. (Karen Furgerson), sister, Linda Gail Porter, aunts, Diane Dotson and Elaine Webb (Cal), uncle, Douglas Gentry, nephews, Charles W. Porter (Courtney), Allen R. Porter, nieces, Leslie Brook Vest (Michelle), Alicia Anne Scott (Johnny), great-nephews, Bryson Porter and Blaze Vest, great-nieces, Rorrey Vest, Stormy Scott and Haven Scott. Kathy is also survived by many extended family and friends. She will be dearly missed by her special friends, Eddie and Elizabeth Hodges, and Reid and Janice Wilkerson.
Kathy was born on December 10, 1965, in Nashville, Tennessee. She enjoyed coloring, collecting dolls, cats, music, and reading her Bible. Kathy liked watching sci-fi movies and television shows, her favorites were Star Wars and Star Trek. Christmas was her favorite holiday where she got to spend time with family and friends. Kathy was kindhearted, generous, always had a smile, and loved her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life service for Kathy will be held in the chapel at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 East Main Street, on Tuesday, September 21st at 1:00 PM, followed by interment at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday evening from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service.
