Joseph Loren Strange, 64, of Gallatin, TN (formerly Bloomington, Il), passed away on February 6th, 2026 at his residence.
Joe was born November 27, 1961, in Bloomington, Illinois, the first son of Francis Joseph and Sandra Kay (Brucker) Strange. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister Vicki Ramirez.
He is survived by his children, Ryan (Amber) Strange, Matthew (Whitney) Strange, and Taylor Strange; his grandchildren Lily, Azaleah, Nolan, Juniper, Jace and Landon; and his siblings Toni Hemness, Frank Strange, Ray Strange, and Jon Strange.
Joe served in the United States Marine Corps from 1983-1989. He was very proud of his service and displayed many of his achievements and memorabilia from his time in the Marines in his home. Joe was a life-long St. Louis Cardinals fan, which was also evident by the displays of mementos and souvenirs in his home. Joe worked at the Parkview Inn in Bloomington for many years before moving to Tennessee in 2015.
Joe was a big supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Memorial donations in Joe’s name to St. Jude would have made him proud.
Cremation rites were accorded. A celebration of life will be held at The Eagles Lodge in Bloomington on March 22nd, 2026 from 1pm to 4pm.
