John Robert Baldwin. 61, of Gallatin, TN, passed away January 24, 2026. John Baldwin was a man of few words, but when he spoke, you listened. He was confident in his Saviour and that confidence overflowed into his love for his Wife Jeanie of 38 years, his four children and his two grandchildren. John was a strong man who would do anything for his family, and he would do anything to talk to people about Jesus. He said from day one of his diagnosis, “I win either way.” He knew without a shadow of a doubt, the battle was won, here in his earthly home or in his eternal home.
The Belle Meade police department encountered flawless communications during John’s time as a 911 dispatcher. He made some of his dearest friends during his time there and as that came to an end, John often spoke of the men and women of that team who he now deeply cherished.
John wanted two things in this life- his family to be happy and healthy, and for you to know about the unconditional love our Lord has for you. John’s “healing” on this earth has led him to his eternal home and while we may weep with sadness, he is rejoicing in paradise walking among those precious streets of gold.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Baldwin Sr and Marsha Scruggs Baldwin. He is survived by his loving of 38 years wife, Jeanie Baldwin; four children; Justin Baldwin, Jennifer Fisher, Hannah Baldwin and Benjamin Baldwin; brother, Danny Mace; grandchildren Jonathan Baldwin and Jackson Baldwin.
