Jerry Lynn McDowell, age 75, of Portland, passed away on January 14th, 2024 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin.
Mr. McDowell was born on February 7th, 1948 in Portland, TN to the late Howard Clay McDowell and the late Georgia Mae Williams-McDowell.
In addition to his parents, Mr. McDowell was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry & Ricky McDowell.
Mr. McDowell is survived by his special cousin, Jo Ann Gore; sons, Jody (Rhonda) McDowell of Portland & Chris (Stephanie) McDowell of Portland; daughter, Terronda (Eric) Jones of Lenior City, TN; grandchildren, MaKayla McDowell of Portland, MaKenzie McDowell of Portland; Keevy McDowell of Portland, & Jolena Jones of Lenior City, TN; siblings, Caroline (Jim) Martin of Fenton, MO, Wanda (Ted) Searcy of Portland, Linda (Mike) Ward of Madison, TN, Denver McDowell of Portland, TN, Ronnie McDowell of Hendersonville, TN, & Theresa Scott of Portland; special cousin, Bobby (Andrea) Williams.
Funeral service for Mr. McDowell will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 24th, 2024 at Portland Nazarene Church (409 South Russell Street-Portland, TN 37148) with Pastor Matt Taylor, Bro. David Harper, Bro. Clayton Hall, & Jackie Stagner officiating.
Visitation for Mr. McDowell will be on Monday, January 22nd, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home, on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024 from 12:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a Masonic service starting at 7:00 pm at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home, & on Wednesday, January 24th, 2024 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the Portland Nazarene Church (409 South Russell Street-Portland, TN 37148). https://www.wilkinsonwiseman.com
