Jeffrey Paul Doyle, 60, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 following a car accident.

Jeff was born on July 25, 1963 in Fort Knox, Kentucky.

He graduated from Portland High School in 1983. After graduation, he joined the Navy and was stationed on the USS Enterprise. In 1989, he married the late Dana Lassiter and fathered two children. Jeff had a third child later in life. He worked at the Nissan manufacturing plant in Smyrna, Tennessee.

A devoted father, Jeff always tried to act in whatever way was best for his children. He served as assistant troop leader in both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts for the full duration that his children were involved.

Blessed with a beautiful singing voice, Jeffrey sang in the choir at First Baptist Church in Gallatin He formed a contemporary Christian band named Big Faith. He loved to sing karaoke and was very well-known and loved at a few local pubs.

He was also an excellent songwriter and storyteller, occasionally appearing in local productions such as the local Cemetery Tour. Jeff was always quick to run with a joke, and his ability to laugh at himself never ceased to charm and delight those around him. Winning over several people in each facet of his life–from his church, to his place of employment–people were glad to call him friend.

He had a heart full of love, an infectious laugh, a deep faith in God and an unshakeable devotion to his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dana and his sister-in-law, Pamela Doyle.

He is survived by his wife Cathy; his children Elijah (born as Hannah), Tristan, and Joseph; his parents William Harold and Donna Roberts; siblings James Doyle, Janice Price, John (Victoria) Doyle, Jerome (Nancy) Doyle; and step-siblings Benita (Dan) Qualls and Scott ( Anita) Roberts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church Gallatin on Main St, in Gallatin, TN, on December 26th from 4-6 PM in the Fellowship Hall. https://www.sumnerfuneral.com
