James “Jim” Monroe Crawford, age 75, of Gallatin, passed away on January 12th, 2025.
Mr. Crawford was born in Weilburg, Germany on September 28th, 1949, to the late Monroe Jefferson Crawford and the late Brunhilde Wilhelm Huth.
Jim was a self-made man who dedicated his working career to growing within the steel and metal buildings industry. Being a person with an unmatched work ethic, he set an example for his family of how important commitment can be by staying in the industry for over 30 years where he built life-long friendships.
Outside of his work, his joys were his family, music, fishing, golf, grilling and a glass of wine on the back porch with his wife. He loved his animals, his UT Football, and just taking it easy. Jim would never turn down a conversation, especially if it was about the goodness and grace of God in his life, using every opportunity to share the love of Jesus with anyone with a willing ear. He will be remembered as a gentle and kind man full of integrity, grace, and a side of stubbornness.
Mr. Crawford is survived by his wife, Kathy Crawford of Gallatin; daughters, Lindsey (Jeremy) Johnson of Hendersonville & Amanda (Adam) Matacale of Gallatin; grandchildren, Adeline Johnson, Crawford Johnson, and Willa Matacale; sister, Bianca (Ricky) Jones of Tulsa, OK; stepfather, Harold (Jeannette) Huth of Houston TX; Several nieces and nephews.
