Imogene “Jean” Guye, age 79 of Duck River, TN passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026 in Nashville. She was born June 14, 1946, the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Homer Bottoms.
Jean was known for her strong work ethic, working faithfully until the age of 70 without ever taking a sick day. She had a passion for cooking, with her hot chili being a family favorite. Sundays often found her enjoying football. Above all, Jean cherished her family. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply and was never shy about expressing her opinions—something those who knew her came to appreciate as part of her unmistakable personality. She will be remembered for her dedication, resilience, and the love she shared with those closest to her.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Herman Bottoms and Eddie Bottoms.
Jean is survived by her siblings, Judy Morris (Allen) and Vernon Campos; her children, Sherry Maynard, Rhonda Waggoner, Keith Maynard (Ann), and Rodney Maynard (Beth); twelve grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Jean’s life will be January 31, 2026 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Madison Creek Baptist Church, 728 Long Hollow Pike, Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
