I remember his organizing house busting for Lockheed Martin employees with soaked house after Hurricane Katrina, an effort above and beyond the call of duty.
I am so sorry to hear about Gordon, he was a good friend. We went on many trips together sharing NASA technology to private companies. He was always bubbly, upbeat and energetic. I was saddened when he emailed me and stated that he had a serious medical issue. I remember the time that he was supporting the clean up of Hwy 11 and took a ride on one of the fish and game airboats which unfortunately overturned dumping everyone out into the water. They were rescued by a helicopter. It was quite an event and made the news. He will be missed.
