OBITUARY: Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Davenport

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Davenport, age 84 of Bethpage, TN passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at her home.

Affectionally named “Libby” by her Husband Buster but her Mother Frances despised this name and would always call her Elizabeth. She was born in Jackson Co., AL where she worked as a switchboard operator. She met Buster over the phone lines while he was trying to call his girlfriend. She would not answer so they would have conversation and found out they had something in common they were both born in Jackson County one in Tennessee and the other in Alabama. Elizabeth’s favorite color was blue but always said if you are going to wear lipstick it must be red and nails must match as well.

Preceded in death by: Parents, William Thomas & Frances Kirby Falls; Husband, Buster Davenport; 2 Sons, Thomas and Jamie Davenport and Brother, Paul Falls.

Survived by: Son, Kenneth Davenport-Nashville, TN; 2 Daughters, Brenda Penman-Hendersonville, TN and Tammy Davenport-Clarksville, TN; 3 Grandchildren, Justin Davenport, Jared (Megan) Davenport and Victoria Davenport; 3 Great Grandchildren, Skyla, Whitley & Allie Davenport.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Anthony Funeral Home at 1 PM Friday, December 13, 2024. Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 2 to 8 PM Thursday and 11 AM until service time Friday.
