David Shawn Jett, 34 loving son and father tragically perished on September 8, 2021 in Madison, TN.
He is survived by his sons, Christian James (CJ) Jett and Skyler Ethan; parents, Kip Andrew & Wendy Dawn (Kinsler) Jett of Portland; brother, Ryan Andrew Jett of Portland; grandparents, Sally L (Henderson) Jett of Lebanon, TN and Isaac Joe & Shirley Faye (Smith) Kinsler of Tellico Plains, TN.
David was born December 15, 1986 in Gallatin, TN. He grew up in Destin, Florida, and Middle Tennessee. David graduated from Family Christian Academy with honors. He was dearly loved by his family and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Carl J Jett.
David was a kind soul and a very talented artist. His talent was reflected through his love of tattooing and in his art drawings. David was known to all as a kindhearted person who never met a stranger. He filled every room with laughter. He loved the outdoors and any kind of fishing that there was from a pond to the ocean. His love of nature and of animals both big and small only showed how big his heart was. He loved his family and friends with his whole heart even as he navigated his own difficulties in life. Our hearts and minds hold memories of him that we will carry for our lifetimes.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in David’s name to the Nashville organization- Men of Valor. Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at the Family Heritage Funeral Home, Gallatin, TN on Sunday, September 26, 2021. Visitation is from 2 pm to 6 pm and Funeral Service promptly at 6 pm.
