David Grant Lilly, age 82 of Gallatin, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at the Sumner Regional Medical Center.
A native of Glenwood, West Virginia, he was born on November 26, 1940, one of eight children born to the late Jason and Maple (Bial) Lilly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, three brothers and three sisters.
He married the former Roberta Coffman on December 26, 1964, who survives and lives in Gallatin, TN. Mr. Lilly spent most of his life as a self-employed optician at his business, Gallatin Optical. He was a member of the Old Union Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife of 58 years, He is survived by his children, Jason Lilly of Gallatin, TN, Heather, and husband, Richard Campbell of Lebanon, TN, James Lilly, and wife, Rebecca of Portland, TN, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and sister, Twilia Hope Oliver of Paradise Valley, Ar.
The family chose cremation and have no formal services planned at this time.
