Carolyn “Sue” Smith, age 75 of Gallatin, TN passed away Monday, January 24, 2022.
Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, February 5th at 12:00 p.m. at The River at Portland, 2621 Hwy 76, Portland, TN 37148. Visitation will be Saturday, February 5th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at The River at Portland.
Mrs. Smith was born March 14, 1946 in Cottontown to the late Johnny C. Claiborne and Winnell Cora Porter Claiborne.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Homer Allen “Smitty” Smith; and brothers, Harold Dean Claiborne and Ferrell Gene Claiborne.
She is survived by daughter, Melissa Lee (Dusty) of Gallatin; sons, Michael Rios (Susie) of Reno, NV, Mitchell Rios of Bristol, VA, Mark Rios (Stephanie) of Hesperia, CA, Matthew Rios (Julie) of Cottonwood, AZ, and Machi Rios of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Hillous York (Jane) of Franklin, KY; sister, Hilda Hibbett of Hermitage, TN; 15 grandchildren, Anthony Rios (Sarah), Meagan Rios, Jeremy Rios, Nic Rios, Bradley Rios, Lilliana Rios, Jessica Rios, Machi Rios, Jr, Katilyn Lee, Mark Rios, Michael Lee, Brandon Rios, Makayla Lee (Deagun Kizer), Andrew Rios, and Cade Rios; and 7 great-grandchildren, Jayden Rios, Annalise Rios, Jaxon Rios, Rylee Rios, Harper Grace Rios, Oliver Giovanazzi, and Oakley Kizer.
