Brenda Sue Summer, age 66 of Gallatin, passed away October 15, 2025.
The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin on Monday October 20, 2025 at 11 a.m. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-7 p.m. and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Old Brush Cemetery in Portland. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
Brenda was born on March 1, 1959 in Sumner County, TN to Geneva Henley George and Alman George. She is survived by her son Louis (Katrina) Summer of Portland, daughters Shannon Todd of Portland and Shelly (Matthew) Durham of Portland, brother Pat (Linda) George of Cottontown, sister Elizabeth (Tom) Cook of Hartsville, grandchildren Matthew Johnson, Rebecca (Brandon) Denney, Louis Durham, Joelene Whited, Carter Cutrell, Katie Tayse, Skyler Stewart, Jaxon Stuart, and Thomas Huffman, great-grandchildren John Luke Denney, Levi Denney and Elliot Whited, one niece and two nephews Aleasha Neal and Timmy and Wade Summer.
She is preceded in death by her husband Louis Summer, brother Charles George, sister Betty George and parents Geneva and Alman George.
