Bobby Lee Owen, age 84 of Hendersonville, passed away July 28, 2021 at his home.
He was born in Nashville, TN on June 17, 1937 to the late Burley and Thelma Owen. He is also preceded in death by his aunt and uncle Ruby P. and Thomas Harden, who raised Bobby, his brother Thomas Owen, and grandson, Elliott Lee Owen.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Archie Owen; their children, Virginia Lee Fox, Kenny D. Owen, Bobby Leo Owen, James Boyce Owen, Sr., Sharon Lenae Owen, and Karen Owen Crabtree; grandchildren, Kendra Fox, Brandon Grieves, Brandon Owen, Justin Greives, Kimber Turner, Kristin Owen, James Boyce Owen, Jr, Robert Lee Owen, Holly Owen, Casey Hendricks, and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Bobby was a veteran of the United States Army and was the owner and operator of American Press. He also had a huge passion for car racing.
Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home Goodlettsville Sunday, August 1, from 2-6 pm, and on Monday, August 2 from 12 Noon until service at 1 pm. Interment will follow at White House Memorial Gardens with military honors.
