Billie Franklin Cardwell, age 85, of Hendersonville, died Monday, September 19, 2022, at the home of his daughter.
Mr. Cardwell’s wishes were to be cremated, and the family will have a celebration of life service at a later date.
Billie Franklin Cardwell was born on June 22, 1937, to the late James Franklin and Laura Fulton Cardwell.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Gail Cardwell, his brother, James Donald Cardwell, and his two sisters, Joyce Kinkle, and Geneva Russell.
Mr. Cardwell served in the United States Army. He worked at General Motors for 41 years as a machinist. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He also loved traveling the world.
He is survived by son, Philip Cardwell of Mesa, AZ, daughters, Leda McLean and Husband Brady of Hendersonville, Lora Sappington and husband William of Whiteland, IN, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
