Betty Lou Jones, age 74, a woman of deep faith and unwavering love for her family, passed away on January 3, 2024, in Bethpage, TN.
She was born on January 15, 1949, in Neal, Mississippi, to parents Charlie and Martha Lively.
Betty was a pillar of strength and devotion, both in her professional and personal life. She dedicated over three decades of her life to serving Rheem Heating and Air before retiring. Her departure from this world leaves behind cherished memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Throughout her long career at Rheem Heating and Air, she displayed a remarkable work ethic and unwavering commitment. Colleagues often admired her perseverance and dedication.
Not only did Betty find solace in the presence of her family, but also in the company of her beloved dogs. These four-legged companions held a special place in her heart. She showered them with affection and treasured their companionship dearly. Betty understood the power of unconditional love that animals possess and embraced it wholeheartedly.
A devout Christian, Betty found comfort and guidance through her faith. Her steadfast belief provided strength during challenging times and inspired those around her to embrace faith as a guiding light in their own lives.
Betty had a unique way of finding alleviation and pleasure in the simple joys of life. A self-proclaimed homebody, she loved nothing more than relaxing in the comfort of her own sanctuary, surrounded by her loved ones. TV became her loyal companion, allowing her to unwind and find a respite from the demands of everyday life. In those moments, she found contentment and a sense of peace.

Betty Lou Jones is survived by her son Donnie (Patrice) McMurtery, grandsons Justin McMurtery and Joshua McMurtery, brothers Billy, Danny and Jimmy, sisters Ella and Rose, as well as many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by loving husband of 23 years Gary Jones, parents Charlie and Martha Lively, brothers Jackie Lively and Dink Butler, as well as her beloved dog Peanut.
