Lila Maternity, designers of modern and comfortable maternity gowns, announces its first retail location at 300 Indian Lakes Blvd. in Hendersonville, with a grand opening weekend of festivities on March 16 and 17. Locals are invited to stop by and enjoy many opportunities to learn about the latest childbirth advances from leading labor and delivery professionals and product demonstrations by mom and baby brands. Raffles, goodie bags and light refreshments will be available. The first 50 customers each day will receive a goodie bag with free swag and extra raffle tickets with special offers and discounts.

“We envision Lila Maternity becoming a go-to for everything pre- and postpartum moms and their babies need in our community,” said Founder Caitlyn Schollmeier, a labor and delivery nurse and doula. “Shopping assistants will be on hand to give tours and guide attendees through personalized shopping experiences during the grand opening weekend. As a brand founded in Nashville, our roots run deep in the area and our commitment couldn’t be stronger to make our retail store a place of shopping, learning and connecting with families.”

Attendees will enjoy presentations from Rockin’ Blinks, Birthify and the innovative swaddle brand Swaddelini, who will host a swaddling competition. Other speakers include a newborn sleep consultant, newborn care specialist, family psychologist, and birth and postpartum doulas from East Nashville Doulas. A local midwife and lactation consultant will also be on hand to answer questions.

Additionally, early child development experts and innovators from LittleOne.Care will unveil their new smart Elora Baby Wellness Monitor, designed to be the first baby monitor designed to aid and support infant development. A local doula group will conduct a fun “doula speed dating” game where couples meet multiple doulas in quick succession to find a good match. Meet and greet opportunities will also be offered with popular labor and delivery nurse media influencers, including @labor_junkie_rn, @nurse_sydney, @pivotalbirth, @mama_nurse_tina and @miriamezagui, and @karathebabynurse.

The raffle will include a Lila bundle with products from Lila, Rockin’ Blinks and others totaling over $400, a LittleOne.Care’s Elora monitor ($299 value), a free month of Birthify services ($240 value), a Swaddelini bundle ($100+ value) and six childbirth courses taught by the labor and delivery nurse special guests. There is no cost to enter; every guest will receive raffle tickets at the door.

Lila Maternity is best known for its stylish and reimagined labor gowns for pre- and postpartum women, which have become a social media phenomenon. The Lila Gowns are accessible from the front, opening fully at the belly and chest to make skin-to-skin and medical care easy while giving the wearer coverage in the back.

Schollmeier, a military vet and the first pregnant woman to be crowned Mrs. United States, was awaiting the arrival of her twins after being on bed rest for over a month in the hospital, when she posted a TikTok video wearing a beautiful maternity gown she had created, the predecessor to the Lila Gown. People immediately wanted to know how to get the stylish gown. Schollmeier has gained nearly one million followers in the process, and has sold upwards of 50,000 gowns to date.

“I officially launched Lila only two days before the unexpected early arrival of my twin boys,” she said. “Our first preorder launch was scheduled to happen the very next day. We had 2,500 gowns to offer for that preorder and they sold out within two hours”

The Lila Maternity retail shop is the next step in the company’s expansion into more areas of maternal wellness. A dedicated childbirth classroom will be an ongoing opportunity for newborn classes at the store, inviting groups such as Breech without Borders to hold courses for maternal care professionals.

“We hope to keep the whole place active as a hub for birth and parenting support in the Nashville birth community,” added Schollmeier.
