Hendersonville Parks and Recreation is bringing back its Free Fishing Rodeo this year at Memorial Park as part of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s annual free fishing weekend for kids.
The event will begin with a special session for children with special needs on Friday, June 5, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The general public is invited to attend on Saturday, June 6, from 7:30 to 11 a.m.
Officials said the event is free to attend and no pre-registration is required.
Parks and recreation staff also thanked Morris Orthodontics for donating treats for participants.
Organizers are encouraging families to come out and enjoy the event as part of the annual celebration of youth fishing across Tennessee.
