Meeting at Walmart in Gallatin, TN at 8:30 AM. Rolling out to Grundy Forest Welcome Center (11745 US-41, Monteagle, TN 37356) at 9:00 AM sharp! This is a 1hr 50 min drive so please make sure your tank is full and you have all that you need so we do not have to make any stops (unless it is an emergency).
Our goal is to complete the Grundy Forest/Fiery Gizzard Day Loop. Easy/Moderate 2 miles. GORGEOUS HIKE!
We will then convoy less than 10 miles to Foster Falls (498 Foster Falls Rd, Sequatchie, TN 37374) for lunch & swim if desired. SUPER SHORT decent to the falls from the parking lot.
If you are feeling wild and crazy… there is a small easy hike to some beautiful overlooks that we can accomplish after lunch at Foster Falls as well.

We will have trail munchies, waters, and Gatorade to share if you need any! Coolers might be a little tricky and hazardous along the trail to the falls so please consider bringing Day/Backpacks.
