It’s time for the City of Hendersonville to re-bid the city’s trash collection contract and the city of Hendersonville wants to hear from you. Please take a few minutes to fill out their Trash Collection Survey here.
A lot of details were shared during the waste services townhall last week. If you missed it, you can view the full meeting and discussion below. Some highlights include:
– The City’s current trash contract expires in June 2024
– The new contract is expected to increase significantly, 50-100%
– The cost of the contract is passed to residents through property taxes
– The City is reviewing all options to help keep costs down
