It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, our grandpa and our friend. Harlan “Carter” Little passed away Saturday July 12, 2025 after a short and courageous battle with Hodgkins Lymphoma.
He was born on July 27, 1960 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and was preceded in death by his mother Nancy Gjerde Anderson, sister Cynthia Little Devandran, maternal grandparents Marvin and Eunice Gjerde and his paternal grandparents H.E. “Jack” Little, Sr and Frances Carter Little.
He is survived by his wife Teresa Rigsby Little, sons Britt (Heather) Little of Westmoreland and Beau (April) Little of Matoon, Illinois, father H.E. “Jack” Little, Jr. step-mother JoeAnn Ray Little, step-sons Joshua Rigsby, Caleb Rigsby, Aaron Rigsby and Jordan Rigsby, brother Chris Little of Minneapolis, MN, step-brothers Derrick (Kim) Ray of Gallatin and Mitchell (Amy) Ray of Gallatin, grandchildren Adian and Emma, Owen and James Little and Stella and Asher Rigsby and niece Vinesha Devandran.
Carter had a long career in the concrete industry, with most of it at Garrott Brothers Concrete of Gallatin, TN. He was to retire on July 27, 2025 at age 65. Carter loved to hunt, he loved the beach and the mountains and was an avid Green Wave supporter. He dearly loved his family and his grandchildren. He had countless friends and would do anything he could for you, a dependable employee and a loyal son.
The Funeral Service will be held Thursday July 17, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Sellars Family Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Robbie Kirkham officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Wednesday July 16, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. and again on Thursday from 12 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m.
Interment will follow in Hardaway Family Cemetery on Dry Fork Creek Road Bethpage, TN. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully asks for donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Gallatin Green Wave Quarterback Club.
