January 7, 2025 – A routine traffic stop by a Sumner County deputy escalated into a foot pursuit and the arrest of four individuals from Nashville over the weekend.
The stop, initiated for a traffic violation, took a turn when one of the vehicle’s occupants fled on foot. The deputy pursued, ultimately bringing the suspect to the ground and placing him into custody.
A search of the vehicle uncovered a stolen Glock handgun equipped with a switch, effectively converting it to a fully automatic. Additionally, deputies discovered a significant quantity of marijuana packaged for resale.
