September 30, 2024 – Early Sunday morning, a traffic stop in Sumner County led to a significant drug arrest involving a large quantity of fentanyl and other narcotics.
Deputies pulled over a vehicle after noticing several traffic violations, and during conversations with the occupants, deputies say it became clear this was more than just a routine traffic stop.
After a K9 unit alerted to the presence of contraband, deputies searched the vehicle and found multiple baggies containing a white powdery substance, along with 130 counterfeit fentanyl pills.
David Hobbs and Amiya Moody were arrested and booked into the Sumner County Jail.
They now face numerous charges.
