Gallatin Parks and Rec is hosting National Kids to Park Day on Saturday, May 17 at The Miracle Park with games, arts and crafts, nature walks and more!

What better way to spend quality time with family and friends than enjoying the great outdoors together. National Kids to Park Day will include food trucks, games, arts & crafts, nature walks and more!

Events will start at 10:00 am.

Spring migrators have arrived, birds are nesting, eggs are hatching, and wildflowers are blooming! Join Wildbirds Unlimited for a park walk to look at, listen for, and learn about birds, wildlife, & nature.

This is Wildbirds Unlimited’s Hendersonville Hatchlings event for May, but homeschool families, Girl & Boy Scout troops, and anyone who has comfy shoes is invited to this event.

Please bring binoculars, if you have them.

5Renaissance Festival

Travel back to 16th Century England where the Village of Covington Glen comes alive with the bustle of a Renaissance Marketplace. Artisans from all over the country display their wares from silks and swords; to jewels and unique forms of art. A variety of flavors, aromas and tastes greet festivalgoers as the voices of renaissance musicians and merrymakers echo through the trees.
