HPAC is ecstatic to present Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella! This is the new Broadway adaption of the classic Cinderella musical. It features new characters, a hilarious libretto, surprising twists, and an unforgettable score from Rodgers & Hammerstein.

This contemporary take on the classic tale features Rodgers & Hammerstein’s most beloved songs, including “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible/It’s Possible” and “Ten Minutes Ago,” alongside an up-to-date, hilarious and romantic libretto by Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane.

The show runs from January 23 – February 9, 2025.

Come meet the artists in person, hear their stories, enjoy live painting events, purchase original pieces direct from the artist! The country’s largest lantern festival Zoolumination, presented by Anheuser-Busch, returns even brighter to Nashville Zoo this holiday season. The festival begins November 14, 2024, and runs through February 9, 2025. New this year, Nashville Zoo will have a brand-new ice rink for visitors to enjoy while they experience the glow of more than 1,000 authentic, custom-made silk lanterns. The Smashville Ice Rink is presented by Nashville Predators and in honor of American figure skater, Olympic gold medalist, and Nashville Zoo board member Scott Hamilton. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased on Nashville Zoo’s website.

4Tennessee Songwriters Week – Qualifying Round

Discover the melodies of Tennessee by attending the Tennessee Songwriters Week Qualifying Round at the Palace Theatre in Gallatin, TN. Two songwriters will be selected to advance to the Tennessee Songwriters Week Showcase, where they will compete against winners from various qualifying rounds across the region for the chance to perform at the Bluebird Cafe.

Tennessee Songwriters Week 2025 aims to champion music venues, showcase live performances, boost tourism, and ignite a passion for the state’s rich musical tapestry, history, attractions, and venues.

Admission (Cash Only): Adults: $8/person, Children (10 & Under) – Admission is free

Ticket for popcorn and soda can be purchased for $5 (children only)

5Chili Cook-Off  Bloody Mary Competition

Compete for cash prizes, enjoy live music, and see if you can impress the celebrity judges! Plus, the Humane Society will be showcasing some lovable pets ready for adoption. $20 entry fee for chili contestants, free entry for Bloody Mary contestants. Don’t miss out on the fun!

You’ll need to enter the chili cook-off in person at the rudder. It’s a $20 cash entry fee, first place winner gets the cash! Be at the rudder at 11am on Feb 1 with your pot of chili and whatever garnishes you’d like to bring! Bowls and spoons will be provided. The Bloody Mary contest is free to enter, just bring your best Bloody Mary mix and garnishes, vodka provided.
