The Hendersonville High School Band program is hosting their Annual Mattress Fundraiser Saturday, August 24th at Hendersonville High School COMMONS from 10am-5pm.
What is a Mattress Fundraiser?
We will turn the Hendersonville High School Commons into a mattress showroom from 10am-5pm

2Back to School Bash With the Raptors
Saturday, August 24, 1pm – 4pm
Wild Birds Unlimited
1050 Glenbrook Way, Hendersonville
Calling all Hatchlings! Come to our back-to-school bash and meet incredible birds of prey from the Middle Tennessee Raptor Center! Learn all about how the center rehabilitates injured raptors and gets them ready to re-enter the wild.
There will be two presentations: 1PM & 3PM. Please choose a time to attend & RSVP by calling the store at 615-859-7597.

4Portland General Baptist Fish Fry & Gospel Sing

Be sure and mark your calendars for this! On Sunday afternoon at 4:00 there will be a fish fry at the Portland General Baptist Church followed by a gospel singing at 5:00. The Anchored Quartet will bring their ministry of southern gospel music to Portland and wish to invite the community. Pastor Larry Treadway will make sure everyone gets their fill of fishn’fixens and Anchored will do their best to fill your heart and soul.
5High School Football
Thursday, August 22 – Saturday, August 24
Week 1 of high school football begins this week. Portland and White House face each other at White House on Thursday, August 22. Then on Friday, we’ve got Beech at Station Camp, Gallatin at Hendersonville, Liberty Creek at East Robertson, White House Heritage at Harpeth and Pope John Paul II at Nashville Christian. Finishing the first weekend of high school football is Westmoreland traveling to Macon County on Saturday, August 24.
