Educators and support staff across Sumner County were recognized for their dedication and impact during a special district-wide celebration.
Sumner County Schools hosted its annual Educator of the Year and Support Staff Reception, highlighting teachers and staff members who go above and beyond in their roles to support students and colleagues.
Superintendent Dr. Scott Langford said the event serves as an opportunity to recognize the commitment and care shown by those working in schools each day, noting their lasting influence on both students and the broader community.
Several state and local representatives took part in presenting awards, including William Slater, Johnny C. Garrett, and a representative from the office of John Rose.
Students also played a role in the evening, with culinary students from Liberty Creek High School preparing and serving the meal, while music students provided entertainment ahead of the ceremony.
District officials say the annual event continues to highlight the people who help shape student success across Sumner County Schools.
