HENDERSONVILLE, TN – School of Rock, a leader in performance-based music education, announces the grand opening of a school in Hendersonville, TN. The event will take place at The Streets of Indian Lake Shopping Center located at 300 Indian Lake Blvd., Hendersonville, TN 37075, in Ste D-110, on Saturday, May 20, from 9 am – 3 pm CT. The event will offer performances by School of Rock students from 11 am – 1 pm at Center Stage Plaza during the Hendersonville Farmers & Artisan Market.

School of Rock Hendersonville owners, Shari Neul and Kiko Gomes, both have a deep passion for music and extensive backgrounds in the industry. Shari’s connection to music started at a young age when she taught herself to play piano and later learned bass and guitar. Kiko’s connection to music began in Brazil, where he grew up attending concerts and playing guitar with local bands. After moving to the United States and pursuing degrees in music business and audio engineering, Kiko and Shari met while participating in the Adult Performance Program at the School of Rock Nashville. They were inspired by the opportunity to offer youth and adults the chance to learn and perform music while building confidence and friendships, leading them to open their own School of Rock location in Hendersonville.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be a part of the vibrant Hendersonville community, which boasts a rich musical history and has been home to many famous musicians, including June Carter Cash and Johnny Cash, Kelly Clarkson, Roy Orbison, and Young Buck,” said Kiko. “At School of Rock Hendersonville, we are dedicated to providing a performance-based music education that fills a much-needed gap in the community. We’re incredibly grateful for the enthusiastic support we’ve received from families in the area and look forward to welcoming more students into the School of Rock Hendersonville family. Our mission is to help them discover the joy of music and unleash their inner rock stars.”

School of Rock provides students of all ages an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons, and piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz, and Led Zeppelin. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway.

“There is a lot of heart and soul that goes into the School of Rock,” said Rob Price, CEO of School of Rock. “Kiko and Sheri truly embody this spirit, and their dedication to music as gigging musicians serves as an inspiration for their students. I look forward to watching their students flourish through the power of music education and live performances.”
