The inclement weather continues to cause some school districts to close. Here is a list of school district closures. Last updated February 1, 5:30pm. We will update this list as more school districts announce closures.
Cannon County Schools – closed Monday, February 2
Cannon County Schools will be closed Monday, February 2nd, 2026
Cheatham County School District – closed Monday, February 2
Although the snow and ice have ended, many secondary roads remain unsafe, and freezing temperatures prevent proper melting and treatment. These conditions create ongoing safety concerns for our buses, student drivers, staff, and families.
Our extended daycare program will be closed on Monday. There will be no athletic practices/games or community use of school facilities on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
All students are encouraged to engage in learning activities during this closure.
We will be asking the Tennessee Department of Education for a waiver as virtual learning may not be an option as many of our families and students are still without power and Internet.

Dickson County Schools – closed on Monday, February 2
The Dickson County School System will close schools for Monday, February 2, 2026. We will make a decision regarding opening day-care by Sunday, February 1, 2026 by 2:00 p.m.
Maury County Public Schools – closed Monday, February 2
Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Tennessee that utilize Maury County Public Schools will be available only at Mount Pleasant Elementary and Spring Hill Elementary Schools on Monday.
Any athletics and/or extra-curricular activities can resume after 2:00 p.m. Monday at the principal’s discretion.
Metro Nashville Public Schools – closed Monday, February 2
MNPS community, Metro Schools will be closed tomorrow, February 2. District and school-based staff will report to work on a half-day schedule. Robertson County Schools – closed Monday, February 2
As we have seen little to no change in road conditions throughout the county, all Robertson County schools will remain closed on Monday February 2, 2026.
Sumner County Schools – closed Monday, February 2
Sumner County Schools will be closed Monday, February 2, 2026.
Central Office and Support Services will operate on their regular schedules.
Williamson County Schools – closed Monday, February 2
While most roads and neighborhoods streets are clear, many hazardous driving conditions – to include downed trees, power lines and traffic light outages – remain in parts of the county. In addition, we have many of our bus routes that continue to be impacted by ice and debris.
For those reasons, there will be no school in Williamson County Schools on Monday, February 2, 2026.
The School Age Child Care program will operate at snow day sites, and twelve-month employees should follow the snow day protocol.
Monday’s snow day will be our sixth snow day of the school year. We have ten built into the calendar.
Again, no school in Williamson County on Monday, February 2, 2026. The School Age Child Care program will operate at snow day sites.
Wilson County Schools will be CLOSED on Monday, February 2nd, 2026.
Kids Club will operate on their Snow/Inclement Weather Plan.
The ATC will be OPEN.
Several members of the district’s leadership team have evaluated many areas of the county today, and while road conditions have greatly improved, there are still numerous icy hazards still visible for normal school day travel for EVERYONE.
We are hopeful for a return on Tuesday with forecasted temperatures on Monday expected to make the melting process increase even more. We will re-evaluate conditions thoroughly tomorrow.
