Rose Mont has been selected by the Tennessee State Museum to receive a Capital Maintenance and Improvements Grant for the 2025–2026 cycle, providing significant support for upcoming preservation projects at the historic site. The grant is part of funding designated by the Tennessee General Assembly to assist museums with essential structural and maintenance needs.
Leaders from the Tennessee State Museum, including Executive Director Ashley Howell and Communications and Legislative Liaison Lee Curtis, visited Rose Mont to present the check and tour the property. Rose Mont staff expressed deep appreciation for the museum’s partnership and its commitment to preserving Tennessee’s cultural landmarks.
Representative William Slater and Sumner County Mayor John Isbell also attended, offering strong support for the site and its ongoing efforts to protect and interpret local history.
Rose Mont officials said the grant represents a major investment in the property’s future and will help ensure the stories connected to the historic home continue to be preserved for generations to come.
