The Summer Songwriter Series, which has occurred at the Historic Rock Castle in Hendersonville for many summers, will take place in the field located to the left of shelter 8 at Sanders Ferry Park this year due to construction on the historic property. Opening night was on May 24. The event will take place on the third weekend of every month through August from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Admission is $10 for all guests 13 and older, all others are free.
Food trucks will be on hand, as well as Rock Castle concessions. Heavenly Snow iced treats will be available to keep everyone cool on warm summer evenings. And presenting sponsor Half Batch Brewing will be offering a selection of their refreshing, locally crafted beers.
All evening, the Ultimate Party Superstore will provide organized games and inflatables for kids.
Dogs kept on a short leash at all times are allowed at this event, but owners must have plastic bags on hand to pick up after them. If a dog is disruptive or aggressive, the owner will be asked to remove the dog, and re-admission will be granted without the dog.
