Sumner County Schools will remain closed Friday, February 21 due to inclement weather. Portland High School student Browder Clemons got to make the announcement! Check out the video below. The school’s Facebook post reads:
“Here’s an update from Weatherman Browder Clemons, a student at Portland High School, regarding school on Friday, February 21st.
This is not only a great video, but it highlights what’s best about Sumner County students. Browder has an interest in a career in meteorology. He has built a FB page with over 2700 followers!
Great work, Browder!”
Sumner County Schools also closed on Wednesday and Thursday of this week due to winter weather.
The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory as highs Thursday will only reach the 20s. Winds will be lighter tonight, but actual air temperatures will be colder with widespread lows in the single digits.
This weekend will bring a warmup, according to NWs and next week it will feel like spring with highs climbing into the 60s Tuesday and Wednesday.
