Mr. William ‘Bill’ Stinson of Cottontown, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, he was 94 years old.
Mr. Stinson was born March 28, 1928 in Sumner County to the late Jacob William Stinson and Ida Eidson Stinson.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by son, William A. “Buddy” Stinson; brothers, Aaron Stinson and Robert Donald Stinson; and sister, Ima Jean Hammond.
He is survived by wife of 57 years, Alice Pullin Stinson of Cottontown; son Michael “Mike” Stinson (Tina) of Cottontown; brother, R. L. Stinson of Goodlettsville; sister, Frances Dennis (Carl) of Lenoir City; daughter-in-law, Nancy Stinson of White House; 4 grandchildren, Jonathan Stinson (Beth), Melissa Stinson (Darren Ferree), Jacob Stinson, and Michelle Jansen (Luke); and 3 great-grandchildren, Sophie Clare Stinson, Finnegan Stinson, and Ethan Ferree.
Mr. Stinson served our country in the United States Navy During World War II.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at Hendersonville Free Will Baptist Church, 179 New Shackle Island Road, Hendersonville, TN 37075, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 23rd. Burial will be Saturday, April 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at Gallatin Cemetery.
