William Arvil “Billy” Ward, 74 of Portland, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Sumner Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Ward was born September 10, 1947 to the late Carl Ruben Ward and Laura Mae Russell Ward in Portland.
Along with his parents, Mr. Ward was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Ward; son, James Ward.
Mr. Ward is survived by daughter, Denise Gregory of Lafayette; grandchildren, Leslie Pruitt of Westmoreland, Rhonda Whiticker of Westmoreland; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Jent of Gallatin, Lola Cole of Lafayette, Mary Edwards of Florida, Lena Trammel of Portland; sister in law, Wanda Ward.
Funeral service for Mr. Ward will be on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Wilkinson Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. David Scruggs officiating, with visitation, Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 12-8 p.m. on Friday from 12-2 pm (funeral time) at Wilkinson Wiseman Funeral Home. https://www.wilkinsonwiseman.com
Following the service interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Gregory, Buddy Trammel, Timmy Whiticker, Fisher Whiticker, Chuck Ward, and Cody Ward.
