Willa Dean Smith, age 90 of Gallatin, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024.
Mrs. Smith was born May 12, 1934, in Hendersonville to the late Samuel Eldridge Hyatt and Alma Marie Stewart Hyatt.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Marcus R. Smith; grandson, Christopher Gregory; brother, Samuel David Hyatt; and sister, Maxine Perry.
She is survived by daughters, Sherlin Smith of Mt. Juliet, Beverly Smith of Gallatin, and Patricia Dutton of Gallatin; grandchildren, Thomas Derrick Dutton (Rebecca) and Cherl Cros (Laurent); 6 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Smith retired from Dollar General after 19 years of service.
Graveside Service will be on Tuesday, June 18th at 2:00 p.m. at Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be Monday, June 17th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, June 18th from 12:00 p.m. until time to leave for the cemetery at 1:45 p.m.
